– Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A kid at heart who just wants to have fun!
Born in QLD, the youngest of three girls in a very loving home, Forbes has always been a free spirit.
After growing up in Melbourne, living in Mexico City, and traveling with her family in the Americas, she developed a keen thirst for exploring the world.
With nothing but a pack on her back in her early twenties, she embarked on a solo adventure, living and working around the globe for the better part of twelve years.
Planning very little, she took any opportunity that presented itself, enabling her to experience a wide variety of different jobs, in many countries.
Starting as a Camp Counsellor in the USA, she moved to London, worked European festivals and ski seasons in the French Alps. To Canada next, she was an ATV, Snowmobile and Kayak Guide, Chauffeur, Carpenter's helper, Admin Assistant, Front Desk Agent, Snow Clearer, Bar Tender... you name it - she did it!
But the role she most enjoyed were the four or so years as a Nanny in Europe, the UK and Canada - after all, she is a kid at heart who just wants to have fun!
After more than a decade of Snowboarding and Downhill Biking under her belt, she returned to Australia and became a Mum in 2018, and published author in 2025.
With a never-ending supply of ideas, she's working on a career in writing not only for young children and middle grade, but psychological thrillers for the big screen as well.
Stick around... we're going to have some fun!
